The muscles at the opening of the vagina are stretched and the floor of the vagina is weakened.
Vaginal prolapsed also can cause looseness at vagina. This condition occurs when muscles, ligaments, and skin of the vaginal area weaken. If the support weakens enough, organs start falling out of their normal places. In many cases, the organs comes out of the vagina, thus making vaginal reconstructive surgery a necessity and may also need to include a hysterectomy.
Symptoms of vaginal prolapse include, Vaginal bulging, Pressure at lower abdomen, Painful intercourse, Recurrent urinary tract infections, Difficulty emptying bowels, Difficulty emptying bladder, Decreased sensation during intercourse.
Labia Minora Reduction
Labioplasty of the Labia Minora means Reduction of excess Prepuce or excess skin along the side of the clitoris, is the second most common female genital plastic surgery procedure.
Labia minora reduction surgery is performed for women who do not like the large protruding minora. Functional problems which can be caused due to Labia minora enlargement are Difficulties with sexual intercourse, irritation with certain types of clothing, Discomfort and pain with some physical activities such as exercise and cycling. Enlarged labia can also result in aesthetic problems for the patients like, “Not feeling feminine” because of the extra tissue in the genital area.
Labia Majora Reduction
Labia majoraplasty is performed for women who feel that their labia majora are too bulky or large. The medical reasons for labial reduction include the correction of labial damage occurring during childbirth, the elimination of pain and discomfort consequent to larger and enlarged labia, and, for personal aesthetic reasons, as cosmetic surgery.
Labiaplasty reduces the size of one or both sets of labia i.e. labia majora and labia minora in repairing following the patient’s recovery from disease or injury.
In practice, Labiaplasty is usually an surgical procedure performed under anesthesia.

It is the procedure of reduction of excess Prepuce or excess skin/hood is located directly over the clitoris which acts as a protective cover to the clitoris. This hood occurs in approximately 50 to 60% of patients. It is found as a second hood.
The hood begins above the apex of the clitoral hood and ends at the labia minora. This is a purely cosmetic procedure, but many women elect to have the labia minor reduction surgery and therefore it is necessary to have this redundancy removed or reduced to have an aesthetically appealing labia minor reduction surgery.
Hymenoplasty is a procedure in which the hymen is reconstructed. This procedure can repair the hymen as if sexual relations have never occurred and is often performed for cultural, religious or social reasons.
The hymen is a membrane that surrounds or partially covers the external vaginal opening. It forms part of the vulva, or external genitalia. The size of the hymenal opening increases with age. After a woman gives birth, she may be left with remnants of the hymen, called carunculae myrtiformes or the hymne may be completely absent. Hymenoplasty is a restoration of the hymen.
